Courtesy of 'http://www.sxc.hu/' Two friends have been working together on a written assessment. They have divided up different parts of the task to help them do the assessment faster. They are collecting information relating to different aspects. Each one has made notes, recorded references and marked possibly suitable quotes to cite from the material they have gathered.

They have shared the information and each student has chosen which sections they are going to use in their own work. From time to time they read what the other person has written and offer comments with a view to improving the assessments. Sometimes this leads to extensive discussion and occasionally heated debate.

Are these students behaving ethically?
