When you make notes:
  • Have a structure that is easy to follow        
  • It can be helpful to use bullet points and lists
  • Record key words and phrases
  • Write enough for it to make sense later
  • Begin your notes with the correct reference and write the author’s name at the beginning
  • A computer is useful for noting references and quotations and you don't have to rewrite them later
  • Include page numbers for easy referencing and revisiting. Use the page number from the reading, not from the course book
